How we use what you share with us

Last updated: October 31, 2026

The Sacred Liturgy Conference is sponsored by Schola Cantus Angelorum. We respect your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through sacredliturgy.org, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

What we collect

  • When you register: the name, email, phone number, and mailing address of the person registering and of each guest; your registration rate (for example, the rate for clergy and religious); dietary needs or other information you choose to give us; your choices of the chant workshop, CDs, and any gift; and how you are paying.
  • When you give a gift or order CDs: your name, email, phone, address, the amount, and what you ordered.
  • When you write to us: your name, email, and message, and whether you asked to receive news from us.

We never see or store your card number. Card and PayPal payments are handled entirely by PayPal.

How we use it

  • To register you and your guests, send your receipt and confirmation, and prepare name badges, meals, and seating.
  • To process payments, gifts, and refunds, and to keep the financial records our accountant and treasurer need, including gift acknowledgments for your tax records.
  • To mail the CDs you order.
  • To answer your messages.
  • To send news about the conference: to registered attendees, and to anyone who asked to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.

Who helps us

We share information only with the services that help us run the conference, and only what each one needs:

  • PayPal processes every card and PayPal payment over a secure, encrypted connection. Your card details go directly to PayPal and never touch our website or servers.
  • Mailchimp sends our news emails.
  • Brevo delivers our receipts and confirmation emails.
  • Rocket.net hosts the website and stores the information you submit.
  • Vimeo and YouTube play the videos on our pages.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We may also share information when the law requires it.

Videos

Videos play only when you press play; our video players ask Vimeo not to track you and use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.

How long we keep it

Registration and payment details stay on our website for one year after each conference, so we can help with refunds and resend gift acknowledgments for your tax records, and are then deleted. A record of each conference’s registrations and the financial records required for tax purposes are kept separately, offline, with our accounting records. Messages you send us are kept in our conference email account and are not shared.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from our news at any time.
  • Ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, except what we must keep for financial records.

Children

Our website is not directed to children. Registrations for anyone under 18 should be made by a parent or guardian.

Gregorian Chant Workshop

Learn to sing the sacred chant rooted in the ancient tradition of the Church, a tradition that reaches back to the Apostles and has been handed down through countless generations of saints.

A “how-to” workshop on singing the Church’s ancient and sacred music as prayer. This is for all who want to learn and enhance their knowledge and skills of sacred music, including beginners and experienced singers. Beginners will learn to read the square notes, and those already experienced with Gregorian chant will deepen their understanding.

Together we will learn the foundations of the chant: reading the notation, praying the Latin texts, and finding the natural flow of the melody. Participants will learn to chant as the one voice of the Body of Christ, singing the Ordinary of the Mass for the liturgical celebrations during the conference.
